Heerlijk genoten van een 4-gangendiner incl begeleidende wijnen. Op deze prachtige locatie is het altijd genieten van de heerlijke gerechten en goede service. Wij komen snel weer terug.
Heerlijke avond op zonnig terras. Verrassende smaakcombinaties en mooi opgemaakt. We komen terug!
We hebben een fijne avond gehad. Bij binnenkomst waren er nog een paar tafeltjes vrij waaruit we konden kiezen. Vervolgens duurde het 15 minuten voordat er iemand naar ons toekwam of we wat wilden drinken. Gemiste kans dat ze ons geen oester of pata negra oid erbij aanbod. Daarna volgenden er 5 gangen met bijpassend...

Vervolgens duurde het 15 minuten voordat er iemand naar ons toekwam of we wat wilden drinken. Gemiste kans dat ze ons geen oester of pata negra oid erbij aanbod. Daarna volgenden er 5 gangen met bijpassende wijnen. Het eten was goed en lekker en de wijnen vonden wij heerlijk. Na de 5 gangen hebben we nog een kaasplankje gedeeld samen, welke ook lekker was. Na afloop kwam de rekening en deze vonden wij best aan de hoge kant. We moesten nog €60,- bijbetalen voor 1 kaasplankje, 1 fles water en 2 glazen bubbels.
De ruimte ziet er sfeervol uit, maar er stonden allemaal geluidsboxen, een autocue apparaat en nog meer van dat soort spullen. De bediening struikelde er bijna over en gaf toen aan dat het er normaal niet hoorde te staan.
Alles bij elkaar vonden wij het een geslaagde avond, maar weten we niet of we nog eens terugkomen.
Het was in een woord geweldig. Het eten was helemaal top. Mooie gerechten en smaken. Het bijpassende wijn arrangement ook. De uitleg bij het eten en de wijnen was heel goed. Wij hebben heerlijk bij het water gezeten. Kortom een aanrader.

Restaurant The Riverside is located on a historic site in Maarssen. In 2021, the restaurant has undergone a complete metamorphosis. For example, it has been given a contemporary modern design where you can enjoy yourself in a relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen, led by chef Tom Vermeulen, has also been given a metamorphosis. The menu changes four times a year and is all about surprise. Perfectly composed flavor explosions where every bite should be a surprise. In short, a wonderful place for a nice lunch or dinner.
