Aangename en warme ontvangst. Gezellig contact met de gastvrouw en chef. Innovatieve en vernieuwende combinaties/gerechten.
Vanwege het voetballen waren wij de enige gasten. We hebben de eigenaren daarom veel gesproken. Wat een geweldige mensen. Ze houden echt van koken en eten. Ieder gerecht was een bijzondere verrassing. Alles was smaakvol. Overal was over nagedacht. Dit was echt een topervaring!
Dank je Anna voor deze mooie review. Het was ook een bijzondere, maar zeker een gezellige en leuke avond. Voor ons dan ook geen enkel probleem om voor jullie als "privé-kok en -gastvrouw" een leuke en heerlijke avond te mogen verzorgen. Als kok heb ik, zoals je geproefd hebben, een voorliefde voor verrassende smaakcombinaties. En dat jullie dit waarderen met deze review is nog leuker, zeker omdat jullie vertelden toch regelmatig in sterrenzaken te eten. Dat maakt het nog leuker als je ons dan waardeert met 3 x 10 en 1 x 9. Dat de sfeer nu door het WK voetbal minder was is een feit waar wij helaas niets aan kunnen doen. Doorgaans zitten wij volgeboekt, dus ik zou zeker adviseren de volgende keer toch weer tijdig te reserveren.
Heerlijk gegeten van goed bereide gerechten. Het restaurant is met circa 10 tafels bescheiden, maar de kwaliteiten en service van de eigenaren als kok en gastvrouw zijn uitstekend. We komen zeker een keer terug. Nb als je het wat sneller koud hebt zorg dan voor een extra laag kleding omdat de temperatuur dan aan de te lage kant kan zijn en het zonde zou zijn van de smaakvolle ervaring.
Dank je Adrie voor deze mooie review en leuk dat jullie zo genoten hebben. V.w.b. de kou is het gelukkig niet zo, dat wij de kachel uit hebben staan, want die staat zeker aan en zorgt ook voor een warm restaurant, maar het is nu eenmaal een monumentaal pand zonder dubbel glas, waardoor je bij de 2 tafels, die echt voor het raam staan, een tocht kunt voelen. Zeker als er, net als vrijdag, fors wat koude wind op de gevel staat. Als gasten wat eerder last hebben van de kou dan kan ik ze eerder adviseren om, zeker tijdens de wintermaanden, te vragen om een tafel te reserveren, die juist niet aan het raam staat. In het pand zit inmiddels al meer dan 400 jaar horeca en heeft eeuwenlang in Nederland bekend gestaan onder de naam Herberg "De Swaen". Prachtig pand midden in het monumentale stadje Buren. Tot de volgende keer, dan ontvangen wij jullie zeker weer graag als gasten.

Dank je wel Sara voor deze mooie review. Was ook leuk om te zien hoe jullie telkens verrast waren met de gerechten met de verrassende smaakcombinaties. Dat is ook wat ik zo leuk vind aan koken. Ik ben nu eenmaal niet van de gelletjes, mousjes en krokantjes, maar wel in het bedenken en ontwikkelen van verrassende smaakcombinaties. Hopelijk tot een volgende keer.
