Het menu was echt goed, vele smaken kwamen samen en het wijn arrangement was goed uitgezocht. Er werd gestart met prachtig opgemaakte en smaakvolle amuses. Daarna een erg lekkere cevische van zeebaars. Met name de Poon en de eend sprongen er wat ons betreft nog meer uit. En natuurlijk de kaasplank, een mooie erg lekkere portie en kweepeermousse. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk. Bij het afrekenen ging er wat mis, de chef die erbij werd gehaald kwam vrij gestrest over. Een klein smetje op een heerlijke avond.

Restaurant Carelshaven started out as a modest skipper's inn at the Twickel harbor company, and over the centuries it has grown into a renowned 4-star hotel and restaurant in Delden in the province of Overijssel.
