The restaurant you should have booked for us was closed. No one advised us. Our anniversary got ruined
Heerlijk gegeten bij ACE. Het vijfgangenmenu was heel uitgewogen samengesteld: twee gangen met vis/schelpdieren en twee vleesgerechten. De combinaties waren heel creatief en zeer mooi op het bord geplaatst. De service was uitstekend. Je merkt dat er mensen werken die zin hebben in hun vak.
We kwamen om 19.00 aan in het restaurant, er zaten maar 4 andere gasten. Toen die weggingen waren wij de enige gasten in het restaurant. Het menu werd voor gelezen en ondanks dat we hadden gezegd 1 maal geen vis, zaten er in de 1e 2 gangen wel vis. Dit kon gelukkig worden aangepast. Het hoofdgereecht was eendenborst...

Het hoofdgereecht was eendenborst dat kon niet worden aangepast voor 1 van de 4 gasten. Tijdens ons tussengerecht kwam er nog een stel binnen, voor hun was er echter geen plek meer. Heel vreemd wat het hele restaurant was leeg. Eind van de avond kwamen we er achter wat er aan de hand was. In de keuken stond de leerling kok in zijn eentje en in de bediening stond ook een minder ervaren jongen. Dat wetende hebben de jongemannen het redelijk gedaan. Echter wij hadden liever gehad dat we waren afgebeld als het keukenpersoneel ziek was zodat we een avond hadden kunnen beleven zoals je bij een rising star verwacht.
