Reservering is niet doorgegaan, restaurant was volgeboekt, fout van dining city zei men. Jammer. Er was nog een overboeking werd mij verteld. Na overleg telefonisch een andere datum gekozen over 1 maand.
Heerlijk gegeten. Mooie smaken bij elkaar, veel miniatuur gesneden producten. Mooie opmaak. Goed rekening gehouden met allergieën. Een feestje om daar te eten.
Oxalis maakt zijn belofte dat kwaliteit niet van ver hoeft te komen, helemaal waar. Van het 8 gangen menu op basis van locale producten vonden we zeker 6 gerechten ronduit overheerlijk en de andere 2 ook gewoon prima. Wine pairing leek ons wat heftig bij zoveel gerechten dus we waren blij rosé uit Setúbal aan te treffen, die tot onze favorieten behoort. Vriendelijke bediening met goede, enthousiaste uitleg van de gerechten en toch zonder teveel gedoe. Locatie aan de levendige Dorpsstraat tegenover de AH misschien iets minder romantisch dan gehoopt in de verder idyllische omgeving van Wervershoof maar omdat de weergoden die avond tot een zomerse minizondvloed besloten, maakte dat verder niet uit. Tot slot: heerlijke Italiaanse olijfolie, die ook apart te koop is. Kortom: het beste van Nederland in het hoofdmenu, gegarneerd met het beste van Zuid Europa!

About Oxalis
Restaurant Oxalis by Geoffrey van Melick is a small living room restaurant with a suite. The restaurant is located in the old post office of Wervershoof in the tourist triangle between Hoorn, Enkhuizen, and Medemblik.
The restaurant was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand in November 2018 for a good price-quality ratio.
"What is good does not have to come from far," that is Restaurant Oxalis' credo. Restaurant Oxalis is, therefore, the perfect place for an extensive dinner or lunch.
The ingredients are pure and natural and come from the local West Friesland.
