Wat een voortreffelijk restaurant is dit! Van de vriendelijke bediening tot het interieur tot uiteraard de gerechten en wijnen.

We begonnen met een drietal amuses waar we er wel meer van zouden willen hebben omdat ze zo lekker waren. Vooral de mini tosti met vis en de gazpacho van Lambada-aardbeien waren even verrassend als heerlijk!
Alle gangen zaten erg goed in elkaar en waren heel hoog op smaak. Originele combinaties van ingrediënten uit het oosten en westen kwamen in de gerechten samen. De visfilet met witte aardappel en truffel was uitmuntend, het scheermes met o.a. kreeft en eendenlever om je vingers bij op te eten en ook het dessert van witte chocola en perzik was bijzonder lekker en een plaatje om naar te kijken.
De wijnen gaven de gerechten meer diepgang en bij een enkel gerecht werd een Pu Erh thee met limoen geserveerd. Ik ben normaal niet zo’n fan van de aardse smaak van Pu Erh maar in combinatie met het frisse limoentje was dit heerlijk.
Kortom: dit is niet de laatste keer dat wij bij El Qatarijne hebben gegeten.

The only min punt, and somehow common to many Dutch restaurants, is that the time needed to finish the dinner is extremely long, due to the fact that the waiting time between dishes is more than half hour... I think for a dinner without coffee or drinks afterwards, almost 4.5 hours for just eating is barely acceptable.
